BBC Introducing

Spotify x Soundtrap

Objective

Spotify and Soundtrap partnered to host an interactive pop-up studio at the BBC Introducing event, giving new and emerging artists the chance to experiment with Soundtrap’s collaborative online recording platform. The aim was to create a master sizzle film that authentically captured the creativity, collaboration, and innovation that unfolded throughout the day.

Studio Chef’s Role

Studio Chef was commissioned to produce, direct, shoot, and edit the hero event film for Spotify, designed for use across social and internal channels. The video featured pieces to camera with artists and producers sharing their experiences using Soundtrap, alongside candid interviews with attendees discussing how the platform supports their creative process. A special appearance from world-renowned producer and beatboxer Shlomo added insight into the future of digital music creation. The final edit used a fast-paced, trend-led style, blending music, motion graphics, and energy-driven transitions to create a contemporary social feel.

RESULTS

The final sizzle film delivered an engaging, authentic snapshot of the event, effectively showcasing Soundtrap’s accessibility and creative potential to both artists and the wider music community.

The content received strong feedback from Spotify’s global brand and partnerships teams, praised for its energy, storytelling, and polish. It successfully amplified Soundtrap’s presence at BBC Introducing and reinforced Spotify’s commitment to empowering the next generation of music creators.
