Objective

Bring Kiehl’s into skate culture through an authentic, youth-driven content campaign that positioned the brand at the intersection of skincare, sport, and street culture — building relevance with a new generation while staying true to Kiehl’s heritage.

Studio Chef’s Role

Produced, directed, shot, and edited a high-energy content series for Kiehl’s Skin, capturing the brand’s activation within the skate community.

Studio Chef led all on-ground production, delivering:

• Athlete-led and creator-driven interview content.

• Dynamic skate action sequences and lifestyle cut-downs for social-first platforms.

• Branded storytelling pieces that blended performance, culture, and skincare education.

Worked with a lean, agile crew to ensure fast turnaround and culturally authentic execution — turning a live skate environment into a premium brand storytelling platform.

RESULTS

The campaign video aligned with Kiehl’s wider shift toward youth-driven growth and delivered strong cultural and digital impact. We produced numerous content pieces for influencers on the day and kick started the influencer led campaign:

Since the event, Kiehl’s has accelerated Gen Z engagement, with youth-focused activations generating 2,000+ social posts in a single week on socials, proving the power of experiential, shareable content among younger consumers.

Industry data also shows male customer growth increase of ~6% for Kiehl’s - reflecting rising skincare adoption among younger men, a core audience for the Skin x Skate initiative.

Studio Chef’s culture-first production approach directly supported this momentum — helping Kiehl’s authentically connect with skate audiences and reinforcing the brand’s evolution into a modern, youth-relevant skincare leader.
